And I bet….it’s going to be in your kitchen very soon! 🙂
All you need to make this chocolate dish is a bag
of chocolate chips and some foil muffin liners.
Oh and you will need a double boiler. But if you don’t have one, don’t worry.
You can instantly make one with a glass bowl and a saucepan.
Alright….let’s start cooking!
The first step is to melt your chocolate chips.
I placed a glass bowl on top of a saucepan filled with water.
Once the water was at a simmer, I poured my chocolate chips into the bowl.
I kept stirring until the chocolate was super smooth and all the chips had melted.
The second step is to cover your liner.
Using a spoon, I scooped some chocolate into a foil muffin cup and
gently started brushing the chocolate goodness up the sides of the liner.
Once the liner was completely covered, I placed it inside the
refrigerator to harden and started on the next cup.
Once I had all six cups completely covered, I went back with one more coat of chocolate.
After about an hour, I gently removed the foil wrapping.
Then I left my little chocolate dishes in the fridge until it was time to indulge!
I decided to top each chocolate cup with 1/2 a cup of ice cream,
some chopped fruit and just a touch of chocolate syrup.
If you want even less calories, you could skip the ice cream altogether.

Great photos and very tempting! What is the calorie count per cup before adding fruit and/or ice cream?
Laura says
Thanks, Jennifer! I’m not sure what the exact calorie count is because it would depend on the thickness of your chocolate cups. But if you only fill the cup with fresh fruit I would guess, somewhere around 200 calories a cup. 🙂
