It’s a cold and rainy today in Colorado. With the falling leaves and cool air, it’s starting to feel very much like fall. One of the many reasons I love this season so much is because of all the warm comfort food I can start enjoying once again. My Apple Raisin Bread Pudding will put a wonderful aroma in your home and happiness in your tummy. Guaranteed!
My husband took one bite of this dessert and then immediately asked me to make more. He ate the whole dish within 3 days. Luckily for him, this sweet treat is a cinch to make. All I needed was a loaf of cinnamon raisin bread, eggs, cream, milk, sugar, vanilla and a little dash of cinnamon. I topped that with a can of apple pie filling (my favorite part!) and it was ready for the oven. Can’t you already imagine the sweet smell of this baking?! Yum.
Hands down this dish is best served warm, straight out of the oven with a lovely drizzle of icing on top. I have a sneaky feeling this apple cinnamon bread pudding is going to make an appearance at our house a ton this fall. Hopefully then I’ll get to eat more! 😉
Oh, and just because I am an apple lover, tell me…what’s you favorite apple recipe?
