Let me show you how decorating the front porch for fall is as easy as drinking a pumpkin spiced latte!
I’m all about keeping life simple. So when it comes to decorating the front porch for fall, all I need is a few mums, a fun doormat and some pumpkins! To me, the combination speaks for itself and definitely says, Fall is here!
If you are looking for some simple ways to add fall to the outdoors of your home, I have a ton of inspiration for you today. I’ve teamed up with Krista from The Happy Housie and many other fabulous bloggers to show you a ton of beautiful outdoor fall decor!
Last year my fall porch featured plum mums as well. What can I say? I guess I’m addicted to the pretty fall color. 😉 But I did change up my pumpkins this year. Instead of a large pumpkin patch, I decided to keep them small and lit. 😉
Flanking the front door is a simple set of three lanterns filled with small white pumpkins. Chris was a little confused when he saw me set this up. He asked, “Can you light those pumpkins?” I was like no — it’s just a fun display. He calls it crazy, I call it genius. Who’s right? 😉
Of course, the star of our fall door step is that doormat – Hey, There Pumpkin! It’s the perfect mat to mix with my new striped outdoor rug. I just love the look of layered rugs for the doorstep. In fact, I put together a whole post on how to mix and match doormats and rugs for fall. You can check that post out HERE!
I did sneak in a few real pumpkins here next to the porch chair. Those real pumpkins were so hard to find this year too! I went to three different garden nursery’s and Trader Joe’s. So I figured instead of freaking out, I would just go mostly faux this year.
Plus an added bonus, no need to pumpkin shop next year! 😉
