Does your cabinet lazy susan got you spinning? See how easy organizing the corner lazy susan can be!
Our kitchen has two corner lazy susan sets. At first when we moved in, I was baffled as to what I would store on those two pie-cut shelves. I quickly discover the one next to the stove was perfect for storing all my post and pans. I couldn’t be more happy with that use of space. But the other one…well that has been a little more tricky.
Since we have no pantry in this house, I decided to use it for food storage of items like: rice, pasta, baking supplies, coffee, etc. But keeping all that organized so I could quickly find items was next to impossible. Especially with a two year old who likes to rearrange items for Mommy. Thank you, Britton. 🙂

So, I got smart and got it organized!
Let me show you what it looked like before I started:
As you can see, nothing is really organized on these lazy susan shelves. I’ve got flours mixed in with rice and coffee.
There are baking ingredients mixed with pasta. And tons of extracts and cookie sprinkles all toppled around. They’re hiding behind the corn starch. It’s just a mess!
Next it was time to grab my new organizing friends that just arrived at my door. That’s right…as soon as the UPS delivered, I got to organizing the corner lazy susan. 🙂
These satin storage baskets are made uniquely for pie-cut lazy susan corner cabinets. And they are now my new best friends. I just noticed the other day, there are even some baskets with a matte black finish. I wish I’d seen those first!
Want to see how a few simple baskets can make a world of difference?
The top shelf has all the pasta neatly organized in a basket. It’s so organized that now with a quick glance I can see it’s time to go grocery shopping!
The bottom shelf has a neatly organized basket full of all my baking ingredients. See…I told you there were extracts hiding up in there! Now I can easily grab my vanilla without hunting for 10 minutes.
You may have noticed all my sugars, marshmallows and chocolate chips are organized into a groups of four glass container jars in the center of the shelves. I like the look of them together as a set — just seems to simplify.
I placed another basket on the bottom to organize all my rice products. On the top shelf, my coffee and honey are just sitting on the shelf. I didn’t have any more baskets because I only ordered three. I’m debating to order one more because I am addicted to symmetry. I just can’t help it. What do you think? One more basket or is that neat enough?
I do admit, I love opening my cabinet now and seeing everything neatly organized. Not to mention how convenient it is to find items while cooking.
