If you’re looking for a great AWD vehicle that loves to go– look no further. The 2017 Mazda CX-3 is the answer!
A couple weeks ago my hubby and I celebrated out 15th wedding anniversary. This year, our anniversary kinda sneaked up on us and we ran out of time to plan anything big. (Although, we do now have plans to celebrate later in the year.) We finally decided to take a little weekend trip to Colorado Springs to visit the Cave of the Winds. So when my friends at Mazda offered me a CX-3 for the same week, it was perfect timing!
I had the CX-3 for a few days before heading out on our trip. Even with my little trips around town, I found this blue baby fun to drive. When Friday morning arrived, we bolted our way to Colorado Springs. But then a snow storm hit Colorado and we only made it to Denver. We then decided to randomly pick a hotel, which turned out to be the Sheraton in Centennial.
The desk attendant was nice enough to upgrade us to the VIP top floor. Our room had this huge atrium window with remote controlled shades. Here’s a photo of the room on a gorgeous blue sky day in Colorado.
Our here’s our view that day…tons of snow!
After we got settled in our room, we ventured over to a nearby restaurant called the ViewHouse for some drinks and dinner. After all, it’s been 15 years….we totally earned a good meal. 😉 The next morning we were up and at the VIP complimentary breakfast when my mother in law called and said little Britton had a bad stomach flu. So we packed up our things and headed back home. Even though we had to cut our trip short, we still had a nice night away.
And you know what? The CX-3 handled so well in the snowy weather! Even though the road conditions weren’t great, we felt completely safe.
One of my favorite features in the CX-3 was the active driving display. I love seeing my speed right in my line of sight.
The seating was also very comfortable as well and those seat warmers came in handy on that snowy trip.
The only feature that I didn’t really like was the placement of the drink holders.
It’s right under the arm rest. So you have to lift the rest every time you want to access your drink. I also found the CX-3 to be a bit small for our family of four. But if you are single and want a safe, fun to drive vehicle, the Mazda CX-3 is totally for you!
Just look at that beautiful blue! What’s not to like?!
Disclosure: I was provided with a 2017 Mazda CX-3 for a week to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own of course.
