Sickness has already hit our house and let me tell you, it’s hit hard! My son was the first to come down with a cold a couple of weekends ago. It traditionally starts with a fever and then turns into a chest cold. He then, like always, passes that chest cold on to Dad. I then at last, when I think maybe I missed out on all the fun, get sick!
For the past few days, I can feel my body starting to drag and my chest getting a little tight. I have a fabulous New York City Trip planned in less than three days so this lady is giving it all I can to stay healthy! So my life lately has consisted of living on the couch with my must have cold and flu fighting necessities–
This Not Toddy is full of ingredients that will help your body fight that nasty cold or flu.
You will need:
-a packet of tea
-1 tbsp of honey
-tsp of lemon juice
-2 cinnamon sticks
-1 tsp ground cloves
Directions: First, add honey, lemon juice and cloves to your cup. Then add your tea, a couple of cinnamon sticks and a few lemons slices. Top with lemon wedge for garnish.
Now that I have a warm lunch, I’m headed back to my favorite place to hang while I am sick…
